Home Security Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals 2022

2022 Black Friday Home Security Deals Verified

You’ve done all the research and now you’re ready to buy a security system to protect your home. But wait — shouldn’t you see if you can save money by buying your system on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? The answer is a resounding yes! We’ve done the research, scouring the Internet for the best deals on the home security systems we’ve personally tested and reviewed. Here’s what we found.

Security Systems You Can Save On

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the biggest shopping holidays, and we’re excited to tell you how and how much you can save this year from your favorite home security brands. From abode to Wyze, here are all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals and discounts you can expect this year.

For the past three Black Fridays, from 2018 to 2020, abode slashed the prices of its starter kits, cameras, and security system components. For instance, the abode iota Security Kit, which we took for a spin in our abode iota review, sold for $259. That’s down from its $329 regular price.

This year, we’re seeing a lot of the same discounts for abode devices and kits. Headlining the discounts are the:

  • Smart Security Kit: $199.99, down from $279
  • iota All-in-One Security Kit: $254.99, down from $329
  • Abode Cam 2: $24.99, down from $38

If you want to learn more, read our abode pricing page.

FYI: Abode works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and HomeKit, so with all of the abode devices going on sale this year, now is a great opportunity for new and existing abode users to bolster their smart home security.

Typically, ADT gives out a 10-percent discount every Black Friday, but in the past couple of years, it threw in a free security camera plus $100 off professional installation. That’s good news, especially considering that professional installation is a requirement with ADT’s classic security system.

While ADT hasn’t yet announced its Black Friday deals this year, a quick visit to ADT’s website gave us a glimpse of what to expect.

  • Free installation of a video doorbell
  • $100 ADT Visa Reward Card
  • $19.99 a month introductory price for customers re-activating their security systems
  • Free installation of security cameras, smoke alarms, and/or CO detectors

Tip: Aside from its traditional security systems, ADT offers DIY, self-monitored systems under the brand name Blue by ADT. Learn more in our Blue by ADT review.

Alder Security

Alder’s Touchscreen Control Panel

Alder has had some interesting Black Friday deals in the past. In 2018, it offered to match any Black Friday security deal if you contacted its sales team and showed them the quote you got from other companies.1 The following year, it let new customers get an Alder system with a $0 upfront fee, in addition to giving them a free indoor camera. What kind of deals will the company come up with this year? We don’t know. Alder is still mum on the subject, but we’re hoping to see discounts on its security systems. That would complement Alder’s free professional installation offer perfectly.

This year Cove is bringing back one of its biggest Black Friday deals, only this time, it’s even bigger. In 2018, Cove gave its customers discount codes that reduced the prices of its security equipment by 50 percent. This time around, the codes will give you a 60-percent discount and a free HD security camera. See how much Cove’s systems cost on our Cove pricing page.

Eufy’s Black Friday deals often involve price drops on its robot vacuums, and that seems to be the case again this year. However, just before Black Friday 2020, eufy announced a 30-percent price decrease on its most popular security cameras, the eufyCam 2, eufy 2K Indoor Cam, and 1080p Indoor Cam Pan & Tilt. We’re hoping that happens again this year, and that eufy would consider discounting the prices of its other security products.

Fortress Components
Fortress Starter Components

Sure, Fortress’s online store hasn’t had a Black Friday sale in about five years, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy Fortress products at discounted prices. Come Black Friday, check out Fortress equipment prices on third-party retailers, like Amazon and Walmart, to see if there are any deals available.

Frontpoint regularly graces our lists of the best security systems, and you can read about this in our latest Frontpoint review. For Black Friday this year, Frontpoint is lowering the prices of its top-notch security systems and products by 35 percent, the highest discount we’ve seen this year. On top of the discount, you’ll get a free doorbell camera.

Link Interactive

Link Interactive System
Link Interactive System

Link Interactive probably has one of the biggest Black Friday discounts this year, as new customers can get up to $400 off of new security systems. You can use the discount to splurge on Link Interactive’s wide array of products that include intrusion sensors, security cameras, home automation devices, and life safety equipment.

Lorex offers a wide variety of security camera systems that can accommodate small family homes to businesses. This Black Friday, the company is going all-in with site-wide discounts up to 35-percent off. If you can’t wait until Black Friday, though, you can use the code EARLYBF2021 upon check out to save 25 percent on non-promotional products. To learn more about Lorex, be sure to check out our in-depth Lorex review.

Kangaroo is yet to announce its Black Friday deals this year, but last year, we found a great deal for 33-percent off of the Kangaroo Front Door Security Kit that we used for our Kangaroo doorbell review. Watch out for announcements on Kangaroo’s website, particularly discount codes that you can use at checkout.

Night Owl

Night Owl has all kinds of security cameras, and this Black Friday, you can get most of them at $20-percent off using the coupon code ADDONS. In addition, you can get discounts on Night Owl’s most popular systems. An example is the Battery Wi-Fi Security System, which will sell for $549.99 on Black Friday, down from its $649.99 regular price. See how Night Owl stacks up against another top contender in our Night Owl vs. Lorex comparison guide.

We don’t have a lot of information on Notion’s past Black Friday deals. We know that in 2018, it gave customers up to 25-percent off, but that’s about it. Hopefully, Notion brings back that kind of Black Friday deal this year. Fingers crossed.

Ring Alarm

Ring offers a lot of products, and even that’s an understatement. We can’t put all of Ring’s Black Friday deals here, but here’s a general overview of what you will find on Ring’s website:

  • Around $10 off of individual video doorbells
  • Up to $100 off of video doorbell bundles
  • $100+ discount on Ring Alarm systems
  • Up to $80 off of Ring and Amazon Echo bundles

Last year, Scout gave its customers a promo code that, when used, took 40-percent off of Scout hardware prices. Considering that Scout announced the promo code on the actual day of Black Friday, it would be wise to hold off on buying from Scout until November 26, this year’s Black Friday. Until then, check Scout’s Facebook page or subscribe to Scout’s email newsletter to receive updates.

If you check out SimpliSafe pretty much any time of the year, you’ll find a deal for 25-percent off a new system. However, in the spirit of the biggest shopping holiday of the year, SimpliSafe is selling its security kits at 50-percent off their regular prices. This deal is actually on-going now, so you can buy your SimpliSafe system ahead of Black Friday, while stocks still last. Read more about this impressive system in our full SimpliSafe review.

While Swann isn’t exactly calling it a Black Friday offer, you can get 20-percent off on select products if you use the code CLEAROUT upon checkout. This offer expires on November 24, a day before Thanksgiving, we’re hoping that Swann has other deals in store for us on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. Fingers crossed!

Vivint Outdoor Cam Pro
Vivint Outdoor Cam Pro

Vivint hasn’t announced Black Friday deals in a while, at least publicly, so we’re not holding our breaths this year. The last Black Friday deals we saw from Vivint were from 2011 and 2013, when it offered free system installation and activation and ran a raffle with its security system as a prize, respectively. However, if you give Vivint a call and request a quote on Black Friday, you might get lucky. Who knows? In the meantime, read our hands-on Vivint analysis and head over to our Vivint cost guide to learn more about equipment pricing and monthly fees.

Bad news, Wyze hasn’t had a single Black Friday deal since the company started in 2017. That’s probably because Wyze Week, a week-long celebration of Wyze’s birthday full of discounts and giveaways, happens just a month before Black Friday.2 If you missed Wyze Week this year (October 26 to November 2), you’ll likely have to wait for next year to see big discounts. We do recommend, though, that you check Amazon and other retailers that sell Wyze products on Black Friday.

That about does it for the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on home security systems! We hope 2021 brings you more savings (and peace of mind) than ever before. Remember to shop early on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as you know what they say — the early bird gets the best home security discounts.
